Furuta Apartments

Hamamatsu, Japan — 2009

Group of five semi-detached villas on a narrow plot, the ‘maisonettes’ are built in cedar wood frame, on a concrete slab. The street being to the north, the organization of the house is inverted: bathroom and bedrooms are on the ground floor floor, living room and dining room are upstairs, forming a crossing space with a terrace to the south. The device of cutting allows the establishment of a diagonal relationship down aimed at expanding the space of small accommodation.
